Guest rooms with 2 beds are very limited. If you will be rooming alone, please reserve a King room with a single bed, and save the double queen rooms for members who will have 2, 3, or 4 people in their room. Many members depend on sharing a room. The availability of double rooms will make the difference of whether some members are able to attend the convention, or not. Thank you!

Hotel room reservations can be made by phone at: 1-816-753-7400 (for the front desk) or toll free at: 1-800-315-2621 (for the Holiday Inn main reservation desk). Be sure to tell them that you will be attending the IAMPETH convention in order to get our group rate of $94.00 plus tax, for double or single occupancy.

You can also make your hotel reservations online by clicking HERE

In order to register for the convention, you MUST fill out the registration form and workshop selection form. Be sure to choose only one workshop for each time slot (either A or B), since they will be conducted in separate rooms. Also be sure to sign up for our optional special events, the annual banquet and the field trip.

The field trip will take place on Saturday, July 14th from 10:00am to approximately 2:00 – 3:00pm. We have chartered a bus that will take us to the wonderful Arabia Museum. The Arabia was a Missouri River Steamboat, which sank in 1856 with a full cargo of goods. Shortly thereafter, the Missouri River changed course covering the boat with silt. In 1987 the Arabia was found and excavated and the cargo found inside was in remarkable condition. A trip to the museum is an amazing look into our pioneer past! You can read more about the museum on their website at: www.1856.com  After our museum visit, we will have an opportunity to wander in the market area of Kansas City. There are several shops there (including antique shops) and many food booths and restaurants if you’d like to have lunch.

Saturday evening is our Annual Banquet dinner. This is “the main event” to close the convention and is always a very special evening that you don’t want to miss! If you will be attending, please be sure to choose from the four meal choices on your registration form.

This year you can register online using PayPal, or you can register by mail by sending both forms along with your check made payable to IAMPETH to:

Kathy Saunders
1818 Kennedy Road
Webster, NY 14580

Please DO NOT use registered or certified mail. If Kathy isn’t home, it will be held at the post office.

If you will be arriving by air, fly into the Kansas City International (MCI) airport.

The KCI Shuttle service is an easy way to get to the hotel. The shuttles are constantly making round trips, so no prior reservation is required. The fee for the shuttle is $17.00 one-way or $30.00 round trip. At the end of your stay, you can stop by the hotel front desk to get a shuttle schedule, or you can call and schedule your pick-up time. It is very easy and convenient.

Our vendor this year will be Paper & Ink Arts. Brenda will have on hand all of the items a penman could wish for! You may want to consider placing a pre-order, which Brenda will have available for you to pick up at the convention. Their website is: www.paperinkarts.com  Their phone number is: 1-888-736-7773. If you place a pre-order, please do so by June 25th and be sure to tell them that it is for pick-up at the IAMPETH convention.

Please don’t forget to bring donation items for our annual Silent Auction. This is an important (and fun) fundraiser for IAMPETH! Any items of interest to a penman are welcome. In the past we have had paper, books, tools, books on tape, lights, jewelry, Ink wells, paint, inks, frames, note cards, pens, points and the most sought after….original pieces of work! Please help us to continue the tradition.

Also remember to bring pieces of your work for display. We always enjoy seeing what others have been working on. In this way we continue to be sources of encouragement and inspiration to each other, and hopefully to others who may learn of us through media coverage.

Come, join us, and once again,
“Share your Knowledge”
