I found this website looking for a source for left handed writing January 24, 2012
It is so wonderful to see that you include the history of how your penmanship group began and how it is available electronically to everyone! I love the historical photos and bios of the founding members. My Aunt and Uncle were founding members of IAMPETH - Eileen Broad Richardson and Fred Richardson. I have fond memories of my Auntie sending me the newsletter and all the beautiful artwork she featured in each edition. She was so proud of her work and how this group has grown. She worked very hard to ensure that her newsletters were sent out to all the members and this craft would continue on for generations. Nancy Broad January 16, 2012
Hello, Would you consider holding Calligraphy convention or exhibition in Sydney Australia? Im a newbie. January 16, 2012
The president of IAMPETH decides where the convention will be held---since he/she must plan it, usually is someplace convenient for them. There is no one on our board that is from outside of US, so do not think one would be held 'away'. We do have members that attend from Canada, Costa Rica, South America and Italy, for example. Just wanted to say thanks January 02, 2012
I received a calligraphy pen and ink for Christmas. While searching the web for books that would help me learn the beautiful copperplate I found this wonderful site and cannot wait to begin. I am joining today and hope to be a master pensman someday. I am planning on going to the convention in August as a novice. I do have a question, is it necessary to have a natural artistic talent to be good at copperplate or can the swirls and art be learned?? Leave a Comment
