I am researching African American history in New Hampshire and one document of particular interest to me is a framed gold-embossed document listing the names of the Black Masons in Portsmouth, NH during the 1940s. It is signed by the illustrator, C. J. Costaras of Nashua. A brief internet search brought me to your site where I was surprised and delighted to find a photo and biographical sketch of Costaras. My father and an uncle's names are listed on the document, so it always has had sentimental value for me. The revelation that it was created by this Gold Seal Master in Engrossing now makes it even more special. Thank you!

I have spent the past two days looking through your web site, bookmarking of course, I started by googling Spencerian script, and came up with your site, to say that I am impressed is an under statement,

I am partly disabled and felt that my handwriting was suffering, therefore am in the process of trying to teach myself to write in a version of Spencerian script, however I am really poor at present, but am practicing every day, I am sure that the information I gain from your website shall help me enormously!
