Zanerian Manual

The Zanerian Manual has been the definitive instructional guide in the training of engrossers and calligraphers for over 75 years. Both the 1918 and the 1958 editions have become collector's items, and thus many professionals in the field today have not had this valuable resource available to them.

Great demand by engrossers and calligraphers from all over the world has prompted Zaner-Bloser, in cooperation the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH), to reprint this manual.

The Zanerian Manual offers a wealth of engrossed resolutions, step-by-step procedures, and instructions that introduce Roundhand, Engrossers Script Rapid Old English and other alphabets. This manual will broaden the imagination and extend the creativity of all modern-day engrossers and calligraphers.

As President of IAMPETH and as Master Penman for Zaner-Bloser, Incorporated, I wish to express my appreciation for the continuing efforts and guidance of Frederic and Eileen Richardson, master teachers and founders of IAMPETH, and also to Dr. Walter B. Barbe for his enthusiastic support in the publication of the 1981 edition of the Zanerian Manual of Alphabets and Engrossing.
