I greatly appreciate this site! So much work has gone into this! I found a sample of English Round Hand Script in a very old Speedball Textbook when I was a little kid. It baffled me how this was possible! I'm so thankful for all the posts and videos. I am re-interested in this art. Kind regards, JW

Being a calligrapher myself. I find this site very practical in studying copperplate and other various script text.
I love the old books written by past masters very insightful and is helping me to take my calligraphy to the next level.

Amazing, I'm 44 year old and I've been trying to improve my callligraphy just for fun, I couldn't imagine that would have so many people commited to learn and also help beginners as me.
Congratulations for excellent work.

This is an amazing organization and web site. I stumbled onto it looking for information about calligraphy pens and nibs. I just started doing some calligraphy a year ago and have become more and more interested and want to learn more. I do freehand engraving on glass and am amazed by John DeCollibus’ work. I’m a 65 year old but believe it is never too late to learn new skills. I would love to join when membership becomes available.
Thanks
Tony

Stumbled upon this website looking for dip pens and nibs. Love the resources available and looking forward to joining after the 31 March open registration date. I'm also considering attending your international convention in August. Too bad I missed the 2011 convention, since I love staying at the Biltmore in Phoenix.

It is so wonderful to see that you include the history of how your penmanship group began and how it is available electronically to everyone! I love the historical photos and bios of the founding members. My Aunt and Uncle were founding members of IAMPETH - Eileen Broad Richardson and Fred Richardson. I have fond memories of my Auntie sending me the newsletter and all the beautiful artwork she featured in each edition. She was so proud of her work and how this group has grown. She worked very hard to ensure that her newsletters were sent out to all the members and this craft would continue on for generations.

The president of IAMPETH decides where the convention will be held---since he/she must plan it, usually is someplace convenient for them. There is no one on our board that is from outside of US, so do not think one would be held 'away'. We do have members that attend from Canada, Costa Rica, South America and Italy, for example.
