Ames - The Daniel T. Ames Notebook, A wonderful collection of penmanship from the early 1860s from one of America’s preeminent penmen and teachers
In 2005, IAMPETH acquired this beautiful scrapbook from the Clark estate and added it to our Archive Collection of American Penmanship. We are honored to have this historic contribution to the art of fine penmanship.
The IAMPETH Scrapbooks contain some of the most remarkable penmanship exemplars from the Golden Age of Ornamental Penmanship (1875-1925). Master Penmen such as Madarasz, Lupfer, Courtney, Behrensmeyer, Wonnell and many others have some of their work contained on the pages.
